Hi, I'm Alex Manning — a senior software engineer and the solo developer behind Roamly.

Why I Built Roamly

I love traveling and wanted a single app to plan trips, remember where I've been, and find inspiration from other travelers. Roamly started as a simple 3D globe journal and has grown into a full travel planning and community platform — with a day-by-day itinerary builder, a community feed for discovering trips, and that same beautiful globe at its core.

About Me

I'm a senior software engineer with a passion for building apps that make everyday life a little better. Outside of coding, you'll find me on the basketball court, the golf course, the slopes, or in the gym. Music is a constant — I'm always listening to something, whether I'm working or working out.

App building is more than my career — it's one of my favorite things to do. I also built Lume, a wellness tracking app that was featured as Apple's App of the Day.
